Driving to work yesterday I noticed the first  brush of  fall colors dotting the woods and landscape. Fall is not far away … a favorite time of year for us.  The crowds of summer are gone, the lakes clear and crisp and walks through the woods relaxing and beautiful.

Of course, as much as we love autumn, we are usually a bit sorry summer is gone. This year, however, we’re actually rather glad. It was a difficult summer for many of us in Michigan. Gas prices were out-of-control. Then there’s that difficult job market and an uncertain economy. Pinching pennies as become a way of life for some.

LOOKING FOR A HAUNTED ADVENTURE THIS FALL?

Our friends at Haunted Travels of Michigan (www.hauntedtravelsMI.com) have some very special ghostly events planned  for September and October.
        
 “Haunted Travels of Michigan” is a new book with interactive website just released. This book tells about the history of reputed “haunted” Michigan locations and takes the reader on a ghost hunt with the authors as they conduct on-site investigations. The stories in the book are linked to a website that include behind-the-scene video along with evidence (audio, video, photographic) in each story’s “Secret Room.”

This fall the authors, along with some of Michigan’s most reputable paranormal groups, are joining together for a few public haunted events. During each event the authors will share the history of the location along with the mysterious events they encountered during their paranormal investigations. Then guests will be taken on a guided ghost hunt/tour of the location. A unique fall getaway!

The investigation commences with a team of researchers (the Organization for the Research & Science of the Paranormal) who will show you the "ins and outs" of ghost hunting. You  will then join them on a paranormal investigation at the inn. Be sure to bring a digital camera for this portion of the event!
