You’ll experience luxury living at this incredible Lake Michigan lodging, which is part of the new and exclusive Woodland Acres Lakeshore Condominiums.  Located in the scenic Manistee area, this condominium community is set on 3.65 acres of land that rests along 260 ft. of private Lake Michigan shoreline. The beach is sandy, the sunsets spectacular and the comforts of this impressively designed condo unquestionable. If that’s not enough, it’s also close to five championship golf courses, artisan galleries, gift shops, wineries, casinos and premiere ski resorts.

John and Brigid have furnished their 2,300 sq. ft., multi-level condo to maintain the utmost in comfort and style. Ceiling fans and central air conditioning keep things cool on those warmer days. Walls are painted with deep, contrasting colors. Mantel, shelves and walls are accented with wildlife and folk-art woodcarvings. Lighthouse pictures and framed photographs of Michigan scenes add to the up-north ambiance. This condo offers the best of vacation living  at a price that’s fairly competitive for this region of Michigan.

You’ll enter the unit from the street-side, passing by the foyer with laundry room (includes washer and dryer) and small but immaculate bathroom with shower. The home opens to the main area that combines kitchen with dining and living rooms. Earthy, ceramic tile floors blend well with dark wood cabinets in the kitchen, natural stone (gas-log) fireplace and overstuffed furniture in the living room. High ceilings sweep upward to the second-story loft. An abundance of windows ensure cheerful light and picturesque views from all levels of the home.

The home’s contemporary kitchen is stocked with all the goodies, including a dishwasher. Just beyond is the dining area with country-styled oak china cabinet and table comfortably seating six. Moving into the living room, an over-stuffed sofa and chair sit opposite the fabulous stone fireplace with an entertainment cabinet (cable TV and VCR) to the side. From there, French doors open to the private deck with hot tub and an unobstructed view of well-groomed lawn, sandy shoreline and the blue waters of Lake Michigan.

Also on the first floor is the master bedroom with king-size bed. This room features a very spacious private bath with 6 ft. tub and separate shower. It has a private doorway to the outdoor deck. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of Lake Michigan and awake to the sound of birds and the reflection of morning light skimming off waves.

We can’t forget the second level, which offers more treasures. The cozy loft area holds a small den with sleeper-sofa and entertainment unit containing cable TV/VCR/DVD. This might be an ideal spot for the kids to hang out as the grown-ups chat downstairs or in the outdoor hot tub. There are also two additional bedrooms and full bath with tub shower.

We’ve saved the best for last. Perhaps the nicest surprise sits in the front-most portion of the second level. John and Brigid call it their “checkers room”. Indeed, there is a table setup,  ready for a tournament-level challenge. The checkers room, however, is really a wonderful glassed veranda with high-peaked ceiling and a wall of windows offering an incredible view of the lake. This is definitely the place to read, share quiet conversation, and enjoy a  Lake Michigan sunset.

Certainly what makes this lovely condo even better is the location. Its sandy Lake Michigan shoreline is shallow and great for swimming. And, as mentioned earlier, it’s centrally located to five championship golf courses including Arcadia Bluffs, Manistee National and the Heathlands, to name a few. Nearby are charter fishing tours and boat rental facilities for a day on the lake. The Traverse City area, with great shopping and casinos, is only 1.5 hours away. We can’t forget that one of Michigan’s most popular scenic attractions, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Park, is just a short drive away. It’s also not far from several of our best ski resorts.

Whatever time of the year you plan your vacation, we highly recommend John and Brigid Bielecki ’s Woodland Acres Lakehome. It will not disappoint. Book well in advance.
